Digital Command Control Optimized Detector (DCCOD)

The DCCOD is specifically designed for DCC equipped railroads. If you already have ODs, you can use them with DCC but using the DCCOD provides a much easier approach. To operate properly, the DCCOD requires a continuous flow of input pulses as supplied by DCC and will not work with straight DC layouts. Its built-in transformer coupling provides total electrical isolation between the DCC track wiring and all signal logic wiring an important advantage for establishing quality, robust and reliable operations. The output of the DCCOD has the same drive capability as the OD along with a built in turn-on and turn-off delay to help alleviate problems resulting from dirty wheels and track. It also incorporates the built-in potentiometer and test LED for adjusting the circuit's sensitivity. If desired, and for applications not utilizing the ODMB or ODMB4, a 5-connection screw terminal strip can be substituted in place of the Molex connector. Like with the OD, a dampened finger placed across the track will register as occupied. Cost for do-it-yourself assemblers can be as low as $9 making it the lowest cost detector on the market plus no other detector comes close to the superior performance provided by the DCCOD.

Each DCCOD requires the purchase of one: Special current-sensing pulse-transformer used on DCCOD

Note: The quoted prices for all circuit boards provided by JLC Enterprises are for the fabricated boards only, that is, without any electronic parts. All circuit boards come unassembled and less components. All holes are drilled and all circuit traces are tin plated for easy soldering. Where double-sided boards are provided, all feed through holes are plated-through. The SMINI, SUSIC, RS485, DIN32, DOUT32 and PGCC boards have solder masking on both sides, silk screen legend on component side and are factory tested against shorts and open circuits.
