All the JLC circuit cards are fabricated from epoxy-glass stock with copper laminate. All holes are drilled and all circuit traces are tin plated for easy parts assembly by the User. Where double-sided boards are provided, all feed through holes are plated-through. Where edge tab connectors are required for the Computer Bus Adapter Cards and the Internal Bus Extender Card, they are gold plated for increased contact reliability. The SUSIC, SMINI, RS485, DIN32, DOUT32, TEST32, IBEC and PGCC boards have the parts nomenclature printed on the component side for ease in assembly and system testing. The SUSIC, SMINI, RS485, DIN32, DOUT32, IBEC and PGCC boards have solder masking on both sides and are factory tested against shorts and open circuits.

The quoted prices for all circuit boards are for the fabricated boards only, that is, without any electronic parts. The only parts sold by JLC Enterprises are the BK1 mounting bracket for IBEC, the PT1 current-sensing pulse-transformer for DCCOD, and the programmed U1B Microcontroller for SMINI and SUSIC. All other parts are to be purchased separately, by the User, following the parts list information provided in Bruce Chubb's description of each circuit board and its assembly. All components are readily available and a summary list of the recommended suppliers is presented in C/MRI User's Manual and in the Railroader's Application Handbook.
